I've decided to make it easy and post all of "For the Bible Tells Me So" here. Now you don't have to rent it or spend any time looking for it. I wish every church in America would show this to their congregation. I think this is such a touching and tasteful way of exposing the double standard being used to oppress our gay brothers and sisters today. Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI agree - I think that every church should be showing this film to their members. Or at the very least every religious family who has had a child come out as gay. My family is big, loving, close-knit & religious. One of my cousins, who I am very close with, just came out to his family about a year ago and they are still in "it's not real", "it's a phase", "the devil has deceived you" mode. I am trying to encourage him to get his family to see the film as I think it presents a lot of ideas that would be welcome even to religious families but that they just wouldn't think of on their own - especially if they are being resistant.
I too found it soooo well done - it didn't cross over into anger or harshness & I felt that it was hopeful. By far the best doc I have ever seen on this subject.
